Once again the awesome XT8 proved itself a winner, this time in Sydney at the 2008 Proline Championships. The race format 4 x 6 minute qualifiers fastest to count, after which the top ten would have 3 x 6 minute final races best finishing combination to win.
The weather for the event was great however the track was not! rushed to be ready it became one of the roughest car breakers in the country, its strange layout not helping. The surface started out quite nice for practice but deteriorated quickly becoming bumpy and extremely grippy.

XRAY factory driver Ian Haley managed to claim TQ aprox 4 seconds up on his nearest competitor, Ian had some new additions for this race with VP Pro providing wings etc and additional support from Ultra Hobbies of Rockhampton QLD. Custom Model Cars were also on hand with Matt Leeming.
